Daniel Arcé

Product Engineer, Accessibility & Front-End Architecture

Hello, I'm Daniel Arcé.

I build accessible software that holds up under real scrutiny.

I'm a product engineer with 14+ years of experience building user-facing software for consumer platforms, media companies, and startups. My background is in front-end architecture and accessibility. More recently, my work has moved into AI-assisted accessibility tooling, product architecture, and the UX problems that come with shipping AI to end users.

I've led accessibility programs that protected millions in contract revenue, built reusable front-end systems in React and TypeScript, and worked closely with product, design, and compliance teams to ship software that passes accessibility audits and holds up to legal review.

I'm currently building AltContext.com, a product that uses AI to generate context-aware alt text for media systems. That work has pushed me further into product architecture, backend services, data workflows, and the practical realities of shipping AI in user-facing software.

What I bring:

  • Led WCAG remediation at PhotoShelter, protecting $9.2M ARR in institutional contracts
  • Front-end architecture in React and TypeScript, with reusable component systems
  • Experience working across design, product, engineering, and compliance to ship accessible software
  • Building AI tooling for accessibility (AltContext.com) from prototype through production

I'm most interested in roles involving accessibility, AI tooling, design systems, content and media platforms, and software where compliance and user safety are real constraints.
