MSNBC: Video Platform Prototyping & Launch

Context
SNBC.com had recently been rebuilt on Drupal following the Microsoft/NBC split, with Lullabot leading the broader platform work. Once the main site was live, the network needed a dedicated video experience. The project had a hard six-month deadline and meaningful partner litigation risk if it failed to launch on time.
The video platform
prototyped and developed the video section for msnbc.com/videos in collaboration with an in-house team and external vendors. The product goal was continuous video consumption: viewers could watch live or archived segments while browsing related stories and engagement features without interrupting playback.

I iterated through multiple working prototypes, proposing and implementing interface patterns in collaboration with stakeholders. The platform launched on schedule.
CMS contributions
In parallel, I contributed AngularJS components to MSNBC’s in-house content management system, integrating them with the Drupal backend that powered the broader site.
